Privacy Policy

Kapshot is built to send nothing. It's a native Mac app that captures and edits your screen entirely on your own computer. Your screenshots and recordings never leave your Mac unless you choose to share or export them.

What the app collects

Nothing. Kapshot has no analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, and no login. It does not send your captures, usage, or device information anywhere.

Updates

To offer automatic updates, the app periodically checks a static update feed hosted on our domain. This request is a plain download of a small file; system profiling is explicitly turned off, so no hardware or usage profile is transmitted.

Buying a license

When you purchase, checkout is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe receives your payment details and email under Stripe's privacy policy. We store your email and order id solely to issue your license key and to re-send it if you lose it. We never see your card details.

License emails

Your license key is emailed to you via Cloudflare's email service. We retain the mapping of order → key so recovery works; we do not use your email for marketing.
